Resonant Business Solutions
Effective date: April 24, 2013
Last updated: October 29, 2026

Who we are

Resonant Business Solutions ("Resonant", "we", "us", or "our") is a Canadian business based in London, Ontario. We provide grant and partnership consulting and workshops. We help clients find and apply for funding. We do not provide funding ourselves.

This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information through our website at https://resonantsolutions.com (the "Site"), our online forms, our emails, and our bookings.

This policy does not cover Labourly, our recruitment platform. Labourly has its own privacy policy.

We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Accountability

We are responsible for the personal information we control, including information we give to service providers to process for us.

We have named a Privacy Officer who is accountable for our compliance with this policy:

Emily Duff, Corporate Administrator
Resonant Business Solutions
201 King Street, London, Ontario N6A 1C9, Canada
Email: admin@resonantsolutions.com

What we collect

We collect only the information we need for the purposes described in this policy.

Information you give us:

  • Forms, such as our workshop waitlist and sign-up forms: email address, first name, last name, audience or organization type, topics of interest, attendance preference (online or in person), and your email consent choice.
  • Our contact form: name, organization name, email address, phone number, the nature of your request, your message, and whether you would like to receive emails from us.
  • Bookings: when you book a call through Calendly, the details you enter, such as your name, email address, and any notes or answers you provide.
  • Emails and other messages you send us, and information you share while working with us as a client.

Information collected automatically:

  • When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and the time and date of your visit. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies and analytics" below).
  • When you submit a form, we may also record the page you submitted it from.

Why we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your questions and requests;
  • schedule and hold calls, meetings, and workshops, including workshops we deliver with partners or co-hosts;
  • manage workshop waitlists and registrations, and tell you about workshops that match your interests and attendance preference;
  • send you newsletters, updates, and other commercial emails, but only if you have agreed to receive them;
  • provide our consulting services and manage our client relationships;
  • understand how the Site is used so we can improve it;
  • protect the Site and our forms from spam and misuse; and
  • meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We will not use your information for a new purpose without telling you and, where required, getting your consent.

Consent

We collect, use, and share personal information with your consent, except where the law allows or requires otherwise.

Depending on the situation, your consent may be express (for example, ticking a box) or implied (for example, sending us an email and expecting a reply). We ask for express consent before we send you commercial emails.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, by contacting us at admin@resonantsolutions.com. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to provide some services.

Email communications (CASL)

We send commercial emails only to people who have given us express consent, or where CASL otherwise allows it.

Every commercial email we send will:

  • identify Resonant Business Solutions as the sender;
  • include our mailing address and a way to contact us; and
  • include a simple way to unsubscribe.

You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by emailing admin@resonantsolutions.com. We will process your request promptly and within 10 business days.

We may still send you messages that are not commercial, such as replies to your questions or information about services you have already engaged us for.

Emails with us

When you email with our team, those emails and related notes may be recorded in our customer relationship management system (HubSpot) so we can keep track of our conversations and serve you well.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser. We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to make the Site work, protect our forms from spam, and understand how visitors use the Site.

We use:

  • Google Analytics, to measure Site traffic and usage;
  • HubSpot tracking, to understand how visitors interact with our Site, forms, and emails, and to connect that activity to contact records when you submit a form or click a link in our emails; and
  • Google reCAPTCHA on our contact form, to protect against spam and abuse.

We do not use advertising pixels or retargeting.

How to control cookies: you can set your browser to block or delete cookies, and most browsers let you do this in their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Site work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Sharing your information

We do not sell personal information.

We share personal information only as described in this policy:

  • Service providers: we use trusted providers to run our business, such as HubSpot (customer relationship management, forms, and email), Calendly (booking), Google (analytics and spam protection), and our website hosting providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us, and we require them to protect it.
  • Workshop co-host partners: when we co-host or deliver a workshop with a partner, that partner may receive registrants' names, email addresses, and organization details so we can run the event together. We will tell you about this when you register and name the partner, and we will get your consent where required. Partners may use your information only for that workshop. They may not add you to their own marketing lists unless you give them separate consent.
  • Legal reasons: we may disclose information where required or permitted by law, such as in response to a valid court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
  • Business transfers: if our business is sold or merged, personal information may be transferred to the new owner, who will be required to protect it as described in this policy.

Storage and processing outside Canada

Some of our service providers, including HubSpot, Calendly, and Google, are based in the United States or other countries and may store or process personal information outside Canada. When your information is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities.

How long we keep your information

Your information is kept indefinitely and/or as long as the law requires.

  • Waitlist and marketing contacts: we keep your information on file indefinitely, unless you ask us to delete it.
  • Client records: we keep these indefinitely so we can continue to support you and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time by contacting our Privacy Officer.

When we delete personal information, we delete it securely or make it anonymous. If you unsubscribe from our emails, we may keep your email address on a suppression list so we honour your choice.

Accuracy

We try to keep personal information accurate, complete, and up to date for the purposes we use it for. Please let us know if your information changes or if you believe it is wrong. You can also update your email preferences using the link in our emails.

Safeguards

We protect personal information with reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that fit the sensitivity of the information. These are meant to protect against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, disclosure, copying, or changes.

No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Openness

This policy is available on our website at https://resonantsolutions.com/privacy-policy. You can ask our Privacy Officer for more information about our privacy practices at any time.

You have the right to access and correct your information

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, how we have used it, and who we have shared it with. You can also ask us to correct it.

To make a request, email admin@resonantsolutions.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we respond. We will respond within 30 days, or tell you if we need more time as the law allows. If we cannot give you access to some information, we will explain why, unless the law prevents us from doing so.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer first. We will look into it and respond.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada:
